In an otherwise routine scene, Fahad unfurls what he is made of. There is one scene where Anoop takes his friend, an ad-film maker to a forest in his village. He is perfectly at ease fitting into the groove of an upright, feisty youth committed to his party and society. He plays Anoop, an engineering graduate turned political activist. In a film where Mohanlal doesn’t achieve anything extravagant and feels contented, putting on a subdued self with least charismatic mien, the saving grace is attained by Fahad Fasil. However Red Wine makes it too easy, too effortless and the thin element of suspense wanes no sooner than it even appears. Movie Review: Red Wine shows a police officer probing the past of a dead youth, piecing together information gathered about him and in the process trying to find the reasons that led to his death. Story: A youth is found dead in a lodge room and a police officer begins a probe to unravel the mystery and some unexpected characters come into play.
